Meet Dr. José María Lobo Martínez

José María Lobo Martínez is a doctor specializing in family and community medicine since 2001, having completed his university training at the University of Seville (Spain).

He holds university expert degrees in: Mental Health from the San Jorge University of Zaragoza (Spain), Systemic Family Therapy from the Antonio Nebrija University (Madrid), Healthcare Management and Administration from the European University Miguel de Cervantes (Valladolid), and Management of Clinics, Medical Centers, and Hospitals from the Euroinnova Business School (Granada).

He has two specializations: one in Epidemiology and Public Health and another in Professional Technician in Management and Administration of SMEs from the European University Miguel de Cervantes (Valladolid).

He has completed more than 50 continuing medical education courses, including: Brain Tumours in Children (Royal College of General Practitioners), Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (World Health Organization), Minor Surgery, Urgent and Emergency Care, Comprehensive Approach to the Terminally Ill Patient and Family in Agony, Advanced Clinical Management for Managers and Leaders of the Murcian Health Service, Mycology and Allergy, and Musculoskeletal Pain.

He has published numerous articles, papers, and scientific communications, including two articles on sports medicine titled "Indoor Rowing: Health Benefits" and "Medical Certificates of Fitness for Sport" and another on "Personality and the Immune System" as well as six articles and seven scientific communications related to the IBERICAN study.

He is part of the IBERICAN/IBERIGEN research program on polygenic risk in predicting cardiovascular diseases, as well as a program on addiction and drug dependence prevention.

He is part of the Spanish Society of Family and Community Medicine and the Spanish Society of Sports Medicine and has been a member of the General Medical Council of the United Kingdom.

He has written a book about healthcare vocations entitled "I Want to Be a Doctor: Discover Your Vocation."

He has a channel on major digital platforms titled "Medical Advice for a Full Life" where he regularly publishes episodes related to the most important aspects of our relationships with ourselves and others.
